Commissioned Pub Artwork

I was asked by a client if I could produce a pen and ink drawing from a photograph for their newly owned pub 'The New Inn' in Shalfleet. I was delighted to do this as it gave me the opportunity to use a style I enjoy. I'm quite happy with the outcome of the piece too and so was the client.

The Macro - Micro Book of Money

To make my Macro - Micro scroll more accessible to an audience I decided to create a small neat concertina book.

Macro - Micro of Money

The theme for this project was money. To visualise money and what affect it has on the world I decided on creating a micro - macro scroll that uses a collage of images from different currencies around the globe. It starts all the way in outer space and gradually moves through to the creators of money, us. Between these two I had the audience move through sections like London for example as it is one of the major contributors to the world’s economy. Beyond humans I focused more heavily on what makes up a human being with references to our senses and anatomy. These four images are pieces of the scroll which show certain points of the journey.

Money Is The Root of All Evil

Hi everyone, I have some new work to show you all. These 6 posters are opinions and quotes that are said about money. I really found the idea of using quotes to make images quite fun as they gave me so many ideas to play with.

The Sealed Room

In response to the short story by Arthur Cohan Doyle named 'The Sealed Room' I created a book that relates to the themes the story portrays. A major theme running through the book was death as the coffin on the front heavily suggests this. Inside of the book I wanted to intrigue the audience and make them wonder what could be behind the door which has wax around the handle. Once the door is opened the viewer finds a figure who has their back to us and is quite obviously dead as the cob webs cover suggest this. The intended audience for this book was aimed towards late teens through to adult as the tone of the book could be a bit too morbid for a younger audience.

Gambling posters

For the issue of gambling I created a couple of posters that where designed for organisations that help people with an addiction to gambling. The posters are created using letterpress and acrylic paint with the use of Photoshop for editing purposes.

Number Through Print

These four images are promoting maths and number to 6-8 year old's using multiplication rhymes. The work is produced using letterpress and lino prints which is then coloured in using Photoshop.
